Suffolk County Legislative District 11
The 11th Suffolk County Legislative District (LD) is located primarily on the western south shore of Suffolk County encompassing the south shore communities of the Town of Islip, the western portion of Fire Island and a small section of the Town of Babylon. The district includes all of West Islip and Brightwaters, most of Bay Shore and portions of Islip, Islip Terrace and Deer Park. It is bounded roughly by Southern State Parkway to the North, the Great South Bay to the South, and Route 231 to the West.
The 11th LD consists of 61 election districts (EDs) in Islip and 5 EDs in Babylon with 52,198 registered voters.

About Steven
Legislator Steven Flotteron was elected to represent the residents of the 11th Legislative District in November, 2017. In addition to running a successful insurance practice for the past 30 years, he brings 15 years of Town and County Government experience.
In 2005, residents elected Steve as a Councilman for the Town of Islip. Over the next twelve years, he was a proven leader and problem solver. In addition to serving on the Budget Review Task Force, he continued to strengthen code enforcement. Improving the quality of life for the people in Islip has always been his focus and priority.
